Individual Cremation and Return of Ashes

 

Should you wish your pet's ashes to be returned to you, please be sure to inform your veterinarian. We have very specific systems in place with each vet in order to ensure that your pet is distinctly identifiable. You can rest assured that the ashes you receive will be the ashes of your pet and only your pet. They will be returned to you in an attractive meranti wood casket with a brass clip.

If your pet happens to pass away at home, we will gladly assist you by collecting your pet from your home and returning the ashes to you. Please be sure to give us a call so that we can schedule a suitable time for collection. The ashes will be returned within a week of the date of collection.

 

Some people prefer to be present at the time of cremation of the pet, and we are pleased to offer this personalized option. You will need to make an appointment beforehand by calling our office to schedule a time for this. If your pet is being collected by us from your vet and you want to be present at the cremation, please be sure to let your vet know as well. Once the pet is at our premises (collected either from the vet or your home) we will keep the body refrigerated until the time of the scheduled cremation. We offer a viewing room for last goodbyes where you can spend some time with your pet before he/she is taken to the crematorium. Should you so desire, you may watch your pet’s body go into the cremator on a television screen which is situated in the waiting lounge of our offices in Johannesburg.. You may then take the ashes home with you. Payment options include cash/cheque/EFT.
